WEEK OF 4/24/06 (CONTINUED)
This is a prayer of thanksgiving to God and St. Jude.   My husband and I struggled with infertility for 6 1/2 years. Our prayers were answered with the birth of our daughter, we are so blessed and thankful.  Thank you lord, and Holy St. Jude. Paula, Canada

I stumbled upon a St. Jude novena prayer about 3 years ago in a local newspaper. i cut it out and put it in my wallet. soon after, i began having complications with my pregnancy-i was given a 1/3 chance that my child would be completely "normal". I prayed the saint jude novena 9 times a day for 9 days-and i let all my anxiety go-I truly trusted. My son was born perfectly healthy---no problems whatsoever. I will forever be grateful. Of course life offers many obstacles--I recently found out my mothers breast cancer came back---after almost 5 years---and its in her bones. i couldnt stop crying. Again, I desperately prayed the same St. Jude novena. My mothers bone scan indicated the cancer is only in a small portion of her pelvis---not in her soft tissue---not in her organs. her recovery from the repair surgery looks good---and her qualitly of life outlook looks great---and I am so grateful. Thankyou, St. Jude for answering my prayers for my friend Danny.  He has made a tremendous and miraculous recovery from his near fatal injury. Once again my novena/prayer request to St. Jude has been answered, and I habitually pray to him now every night with a request.  I have such faith in him now, as he never fails me....please oh please call upon him for all your requests, if you have faith in him/trust him he will respond.  It may not always be the ans. you are searching for, but he will respond to you!  Place your total trust in him, he shall not fail you.  Also, if I may utilize this web site to not e a message of thanks to our blessed virgin, I have just completed a novena to her and am awaiting her response.  I too have complete trust in her as she has not failed me before.  Remember she is the intermediary between us and her son, she likes to be called upon and please have trust in her also as I do.  She will be there for you.   Thank you so much. It is difficult to know where to start.  I have many things to be thankful for....my mother recovered from a broken hip.  She has Parkinsons' disease pretty bad.   I was very worried when she fell in January.  She recovered better than I ever dreamed she would.  I recently got out of a lifelong business, and the equipment auction went better than I ever expected...a good crowd and excellent monetary results.  Some recent events, or nonevents have reinforced my decision to get out of the business-farming and go back to school for a 2nd time to get a degree to teach in the science area. It was a long, difficult and arduous decision.  But, since making it, I have also worked to deepen my spirituality.  I have been more at peace than in many, many years.  Our 25 year parish priest had to retire because of some health problems.  Our diocese is short on priests...we share one among 3 parishes.  We got a priest from Nigeria.  I was afraid, even thought I am not involved on the council or anything, that people would slowly quit church, contributions would go down, etc.  But, things have remained good.  I have had wonderful health over the last 2 winters...usually I get a deep sinus infection and get down for a week or so.  During Jan-Feb-March of 2005 I was really stressed..and somehow, I stayed healthy.  I may not get the novena said 9 times per day, in fact, I usually do not.  I published a message of thanks on here in mid November of 2005..a relationship with a wonderful woman, which had been on and off and on was off then.  It returned, and I thought things were on their way to something really long term(for the rest of my life), but, that went awry again in Febuary 2006.  In retrospect, I needed to be studying(Ha..right now, grades say I have not studied enough).  The relationship is still not there.  I do not know if God and St. Jude are telling me that I am not ready for a relationship right now, or whether she is not the right one for me, or just what, but, one of the half dozen things I petition for during each mornings' prayer is that I find Gods' path for me, and stay on it.  Some days he may have to nudge me, sone days he/she may have to dropkick me.  The interesting thing is this...over the last year and a half, nothing, I repeat NOTHING bad has happened to me.  Yes, I sincerely do desire a loving, wonderful relationship with a certain young woman, but, I must trust in God and all his cohorts.  I have had more people telling me that I have made good decisions than I can even count.  I still have a lot of work to do.  Hey, even this...we finally brought our dog and 2 outside cats to town 2 weeks ago, and I was afraid that the cats would take off back out to the country....they are still here.  If someone would have told me 6-7 years ago all the things that have happened in the last 6 months, I would have said they were absolutely out-and-out nuts.  I just gotta keep praying and working and trusting and.....asking.   But, also, remember, I can pray al i want, but,if I do not study, I will, in all probability, get a big E on the next test. St. Jude, I would like to thank you for helping my son, Jeff, to defeat his addictions.  He has now stopped using any tobaco products and alcohol.  He has begun to distance himself from those people and things that are negative.  I have seen an improvement in his attitude and he has a peace and calmness that I have not seen for many years.  Thank you so much, St. Jude.  I will continue to pray to you for my son's continued improvement.  JB

Many of us find ourselves in need of a miracle at some point in our lives.  I found myself in such a position after the failure of my marriage.  I said many novenas and prayers and,although painful, this terrible event brought me closer to God which was the only good thing to come out of it.  There are times when it seems like nobody is listening but they are.  Prayers ARE answered but in God's time, not ours.  He knows what is best for us.  I would just like to tell you about a VERY powerful form of prayer which worked for me: the 54 day rosary novena to Our Lady.  I would urge you to go now and look up this novena and the power of the rosary on the internet.  It's not always easy to find the time to say a full rosary bt Our Lady appreciates the faith you have in her - believe me!  Finally, I would just like to say a very big thank you to everyone who has been looking out for me during my time of need: St Jude, St Philomena, St Anthony, Sacred Heart, Virgin Mary, St Michael, Sr Josefa Menendez, St Theresa.
